FAQ

Sizing

What sizes do you make?

Two: S is EU 36–40 and L is EU 41–45. In other systems that is UK 3–6 and 7–10, US men 4.5–8.5 and 9–11.5, US women 6–10 and 10.5–13, JP 23–25 and 26–29. The size guide sits next to the size buttons on every product.

Which one do I take?

They fit true to size. If you are between the two, size up. A rib that is slightly long holds; one that is slightly short drags itself down over the day.

How high do they sit?

Each pair says which length it is, measured from the top of the heel: ankle cut is 4–6 cm, half mid calf 9–13 cm, mid calf 15–20 cm, over calf 22–28 cm.

Care

How do I wash them?

Inside out, at the temperature printed on the pair — some are 30°C, some 20°C, and the product page tells you which. Hang them to dry.

What not to do: no tumble dryer, no bleach, no dry cleaning. The 20°C pairs should not be ironed or steamed at all; the 30°C pairs will take a cool iron if you insist.

Will they shrink or pill?

Washed as above, no. The rib is built to hold its shape through the wash rather than relax out of it — that is the point of knitting it this tightly. Heat is what breaks that, which is why the dryer is the one rule worth keeping.

Why is the cuff so firm?

Because it is doing the work. The structure is what earns the colour the right to be this loud.

The socks

Where are they made?

Designed in Copenhagen, knitted in Georgia in a SEDEX-certified factory we have stood in ourselves. The yarn is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified.

What are they made of?

Combed cotton with polyamide and elastane. The cotton runs between 75% and 85% depending on the construction — the argyle needs more polyamide to hold a pattern than a plain rib does — and elastane is 5% throughout. Every product page lists the exact figure for that pair.

Something is sold out. Will it come back?

Copenhagen will. It is the permanent collection and we restock it. Seasonal colourways are knitted once and not repeated — when a drop is gone it is gone, and that is deliberate.

The list is how you hear about a restock first. Sign up at the bottom of any page: new drops and restocks, nothing else.

Orders and payment

How can I pay?

Cards and wallets everywhere we ship: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro and UnionPay, plus Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Some countries also get a local method at checkout: Klarna, MobilePay in Denmark and Finland, Bancontact in Belgium, BLIK in Poland.

All prices include VAT.

Can I change or cancel an order?

Write to Info@aydostudios.com as fast as you can with your order number. We dispatch within 3–4 working days, so if we catch it before the label is printed we can change it. After that, treat it as a return.

I have not had a confirmation email.

Check the spam folder, then check the address you typed. If it is neither, write to us and we will find the order.

Delivery and returns

Where do you ship and what does it cost?

Denmark and seventeen other European countries. Rates and free-shipping thresholds differ by destination — they are all listed on Delivery & shipping.

When will it arrive?

Roughly a week to a Danish address and up to two weeks to the rest of Europe, counting the 3–4 working days we take to dispatch. Details on Delivery & shipping.

Can I return them?

Yes — 14 days from receiving your order, unworn, tags on, in the original packaging, and you arrange and pay the return shipping. Email us first so the return is approved. The whole thing is on Return & exchange.
